Mihkel Muskar ist Kurator, Sammler und Kulturmanager mit den Schwerpunkten zeitgenössische Kunst und interkultureller Dialog. Sein besonderes Interesse gilt Themen wie Identität, Erinnerungskultur und Diversität. Seit 2018 lebt er in Berlin. Er gründete die Mihkel Muskar Galerie, die 2023 und 2024 zwei Ausstellungs- und interdisziplinäre Performance-Programme in temporären Räumen realisierte. Diese Programme präsentierten aufstrebende und etablierte Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus Berlin, anderen Regionen Deutschlands und mehreren europäischen Ländern.
Zuvor koordinierte er internationale Kulturinitiativen in Zusammenarbeit mit NGOs, kuratierte Sondervorführungen in einem unabhängigen Programmkino und war als Moderator in der nicht-formalen politischen Bildung tätig. Er hat Abschlüsse in Geschichte und Psychologie und studierte Sozialphilosophie und Kulturwissenschaften im Rahmen akademischer Programme in Russland, Deutschland und den USA. Seine kuratorische Praxis wird begleitet von kreativen Experimenten in den Bereichen Schreiben, Fotografie und Film.

Previously, he coordinated international cultural initiatives in collaboration with NGOs, curated special screenings at an independent arthouse cinema and was engaged as a facilitator in non-formal citizenship education. He holds degrees in History and Psychology and has taken courses in Social Philosophy and Cultural Studies through academic programmes in Russia, Germany and the USA. His curatorial practice is accompanied by creative experimentation in writing, photography, and film.
